Act 4 is going to SDCC!

The following is information about ACT 4 PUBLISHING’S presence at this year’s Comic-Con International in 11 (gulp) days!

 

We will be located at booth 5018, located in the same area as most of the major art dealers, and close to Artist’s Alley.

 We will have a limited number of our newest poker chips available for free (one to a customer), as well as selling Act 4 t-shirts and tote bags (the latter is suitable for carrying all your favorite Artist’s Editions and/or children – we won’t judge you). These are fairly limited and will only be available at Comic-Con (but if we have any remaining after the show we will make them available on our website).

 As always, we will have our scanner ready for any art you might want to contribute to future Artist’s Editions. Here is a partial list of art we are looking for:

 

Arthur Adams Marvel, Steve Bissette/John Totleben Swamp Thing), Neal Adams Marvel, J. Scott Campbell (Gen13), Gene Colan Marvel, Dan DeCarlo Archie (vintage), Steve Ditko Marvel (Twice-up only), Michael Golden DC, Gil Kane Marvel, George Pérez DC and Marvel, Kevin Nowlan DC, Frank Quitely DC, Jim Steranko Marvel, Matt Wagner Grendel and Mage. Also looking for ROM art from #1 – 75, and DC/Marvel crossover art (the first five).

 Aside from the above, we are looking for any cool vintage art, especially covers and complete stories! If we use your art you will be thanked in the book and may receive a comp copy.

And, finally, there will be two Panels for us this year. One is a memorial for the late great Sam Kieth, the other is focused entirely on Act 4 books (with giveaways). See below for full details.

 Sam Kieth was a unique talent. Several of Sam's friends and colleagues share memories and celebrate a truly wonderful person who left us much too soon. There will be a slideshow presentation featuring many images by Sam that were scanned from his original art. Attendees are welcome to share their memories of Sam Kieth. Join Scott Dunbier, John Layman, and Chris Ryall, and one or two others as we remember our friend Sam.

 Artist’s Editions and More: What’s Next at Act 4?

 Act 4 Publishing's Scott and Amanda Dunbier talk about their remaining books coming out this year and reveal, for the first time, a number of Artist's Editions coming next year. As usual, there will be a presentation of glorious original art, as well as a Q&A session. There will also be some trivia questions (with a prize) and a raffle, with two recent Artist's Editions given away, each in a snazzy new Act 4 Publishing tote bag, Also, all attendees at our panel will receive the newest Act 4 poker chip with a very cool surprise design!
